V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University

Founded in 1804 V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is perhaps one of the oldest universities in whole of Eastern Europe. It was founded on the initiative of one of the most noticeable educator of the region V.N. Karazin and it was in accordance with the charter of Tsar Alexander I. Kharkiv University is the only university in Ukraine that has the honor of trained and educated as well as employed three of the famous Nobel Prize laureates: the biologist I. Mechnikov, the economist S. Kuznets, and the physicist L. Landau.

One year after the inception, the opening ceremony was held on 29th of January, 1805. The University is known for its effort made towards the Ukrainian national renaissance of the XIX-XXth centuries. It gave a strong sense of motivation to the emergence of Kharkiv to become a major scientific & cultural center and subsequently becoming an academic hub of Ukraine. Today the University righteously and justly ranks among the top Ukrainian classical universities and is also famous in many countries worldwide. The history of the University is rich and diverse when it comes to the intellectual, cultural and spiritual history of Ukraine. The following names of world famous researchers and scholars are linked with Kharkiv University P. Hulak-Artemovskyi, O. Lyapunov, M. Kostomarov, M. Barabashov, M. Beketov, D. Bahaliy, A. Krasnov, M. V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is one of the leading Ukrainian research & educational institutions with a history that spans over two centuries. When it comes to the ranking:

It ranks amonth the “Top-200 Ukraine” UNESCO Chair Ranking in the year 2019.

V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University ranked third among all Ukrainian institutions of higher education. It is included in the Top 500 universities in the world according to the QS World University Rankings 2020.

The University ranks 491st, which is the highest position compared to other Ukrainian universities.

The British publication Times Higher Education 2020 rates Karazin University among the world’s best universities for the 2nd time, ranking in the group 1001+.

School of Biology, School of Medicine; School of Geology, School of Chemistry; Biomedical Electronics and Computer Systems; the Institute of International Education for Study and Research, School of Economics; School of History; School of Computer Sciences; School of Mathematics and Computer Sciences; Geography, Recreation and Tourism; Educational and Research Institute of Ecology; Educational and Research Institute «Karazin Business School»; Educational and Research Institute of Computer Physics and Energy; Educational and Research Institute «School of Physics and Technology»; School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business; School of Psychology; School of Radiophysics, School of Sociology; School of Physics; School of Philology; School of Philosophy; School of Law; and the School of Foreign Languages.

Currently, there are 20,724 degree seekers at the Schools of Center for International Education, the Center for Pre-University Education. 16,260 of the total are students, 4,066 are international students and 301 of the total 20724 are postgraduate & doctoral students. The university hosts 438 doctors of sciences and professors. At the same time there are more than 1,274 PhDs, associate professors who actively take part in scientific research & training of specialists. Among the University employees there are 30 academicians & corresponding members of the NASU (National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) and its branch academies. Every year the University prepares specialists in 115 majors which covers almost the complete range of contemporary and classical university education.

To get an Invitation Letter from any University of Ukraine we require the following documents:

Copy of International passport.
Copy of High School Certificates.
Copy of Bachelor Degree (if student is applying for Master’s degree).
Invitation Charges 280 US$.
Courier Charges 100 US$.

You can transfer payment to us by bank transfer or directly in our office. After receiving the documents and payment. we shall send you the invitation letter, admission letter and visa support letter by courier.

After getting invitation letter from '12 Consultants' students should contact the nearest Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate. Students can contact our local representative office also for visa information and they will assist students for their visa. Student should apply to Ukrainian Embassy with the following documents:

Higher Secondary School certificate (translated into Ukrainian language)

After getting visa from Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate, students should inform us about his/her flight details with date and arrival time. One of our representatives shall receive the student at the airport. In case student will not inform us about his/her arrival, he/she shall be deported back to homeland.

Hostels & Accommodation V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University provides accommodation for International students in university hostels. In total, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University has 6 dormitories, in which 3 are specifically for International students. Foreign students live in hostels No 2, 5, and 6. Facilities Provided in V.N.
