The duration of MBBS (Also known as General Medicine or M.D.) in Turkey is 6 years. which includes 5 years of academic & clinical study and 1 year of internship (house job).
In the first 3 years, students study the theoretical aspect of general medicine, and in the last 3 years, students develop their practical skills. Each year is subdivided into 2 semesters. The first session starts in September every year, and the second session starts in February. However few universities offer only September intake.
