Odessa National Medical University

The institution started its operations in the year 1900 as the medical faculty under Novorossiyskiy State University in the city of Odessa. With the level of devotion contributed by the pioneers of the medical faculty, the faculty became one of the most prominent medical faculties in the whole Russian Empire. Many well-known medical scientists of their times worked here including Nobel laureate and professor I. I. Mechnikov.

About Odessa State Medical University

Established in 1900, Odessa State Medical University is a member of the European Universities Union and is without doubt the biggest Medical University in the Ukraine. Odessa State Medical University has nearly 800 lecturers, 105 professors & doctors, 18 academicians, 407 assistant professors and assistant doctors.

The medical faculty went through the turbulent period of Russian Revolution and but survived and in the year 1922 it was transformed into an independent and autonomous Medical Institute with the title “Odessa State Medical Institute” and right after the collapse of Soviet Union upon and establishment of Ukraine it became Odessa State Medical University.

Odessa State Medical University was got 107th place in the year 2007 in the list of world’s top universities.

There are over 4500 students in the university out of which over 1500 are international students from 57 countries from around the globe. The courses they offer include general medicine (md/mbbs), dentistry, stomatology (b.d.s), pediatrics (md/mbbs), pharmacy (b. pharma), premedical department, preparatory department, and clinical residency with the help of the top notch equipment as well as with the state-of-the art modern medical technologies. The campus consists of 18 blocks which include 48 clinics, 6 dormitories, a library with over 1 million books, a dedicated publishing department, a high tech computer center, a sports center built on contemporary lines and a modern guest house on the coast of the Black Sea.edical University

 

 

How to get Admission in Odessa National Medical University

To get an Invitation Letter from any University of Ukraine we require the following documents:

  • Copy of International passport.
  • Copy of High School Certificates.
  • Copy of Bachelor Degree (if student is applying for Master’s degree).
  • Invitation Charges 280 US$.
  • Courier Charges 100 US$.

You can transfer payment to us by bank transfer or directly in our office. After receiving the documents and payment. we shall send you the invitation letter, admission letter and visa support letter by courier.

After getting invitation letter from '12 Consultants' students should contact the nearest Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate. Students can contact our local representative office also for visa information and they will assist students for their visa. Student should apply to Ukrainian Embassy with the following documents:

  • Original Invitation letter
  • Original international passport (valid for one year)
  • Higher Secondary School certificate (translated into Ukrainian language)
  • Birth Certificate (translated into Ukrainian language)
  • Medical Certificate showing absence of Aids/HIV (translated into Ukrainian language) • Medical Certificate showing physical and mental fitness (translated into Ukrainian language)
  • 8 Passport size Photos.
  • Bank Statement
  • Police Certificate (Character Clearance Certificate)
  • Air Ticket Reservation.
  • Travel Insurance.

After getting visa from Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate, students should inform us about his/her flight details with date and arrival time. One of our representatives shall receive the student at the airport. In case student will not inform us about his/her arrival, he/she shall be deported back to homeland.

Odessa National Medical University Hostel ​

Hostels & Accommodation Odessa National Medical University provides accommodation for International students in university hostels. In total, ONMU has 6 dormitories, in which 3 are specifically for International students. Foreign students live in hostels No 2, 5, and 6. Facilities Provided in Odessa National Medical University Hostels:

  • University provides separate hostels for female students, that distinguishes these hostels best among other European universities.
  • Rooms are centrally heated.
  • These hostels offer all students everything they need for good living: a peaceful, healthy, and quiet environment for studying.
