Located in the beautiful city of Odesa, South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky is one of the oldest medical universities & the first Pedagogical university in Ukraine. History

South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky was established as Pedagogical Institute at Richelieu Lyceum in Odessa on 2 May, 1817. Since that time, its name has been changed several times (Teacher’s Institute, Institute of Public Education, Odessa State Pedagogical Institute, South Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky, South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky); it has been liquidated and reestablished.

Currently, the University is a flagship teachers training university of the southern region of Ukraine with 17 acknowledged scholar schools, 47 specialties for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral training programmes at 10 faculties, 4 divisions and one institute. Within the period of its existence, more than 100,000 students have graduated from the University and have been employed at the educational institutions of Ukraine; more than 30 graduates worked abroad.

According to SCOPUS database, SNPU ranks 1st among pedagogical universities of Ukraine since 2007.

SNPU was ranked as the 9th Top medical university among all higher institutions in Ukraine from 2013 to 2020.

According to the CEDOS think-tank in 2012, SNPU was in Top-10 in the Transparency Rating among the universities of Ukraine.

According to Webometrics Ranking of World’s Universities, in February 2014-15, SNPU ranked 19th among 320 universities in Ukraine.

In 2015, According to Top 200 Ukraine-2019 (UNESCO), SNPU ranked 8th in the academic rankings of the Higher Educational Institutions of Ukraine.

How to get Admission in South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University Odessa

To get an Invitation Letter from any University of Ukraine we require the following documents:

Copy of International passport.
Copy of High School Certificates.
Copy of Bachelor Degree (if student is applying for Master’s degree).
Invitation Charges 280 US$.
Courier Charges 100 US$.

You can transfer payment to us by bank transfer or directly in our office. After receiving the documents and payment. we shall send you the invitation letter, admission letter and visa support letter by courier.

After getting invitation letter from '12 Consultants' students should contact the nearest Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate. Students can contact our local representative office also for visa information and they will assist students for their visa. Student should apply to Ukrainian Embassy with the following documents:

Original Invitation letter
Original international passport (valid for one year)
Higher Secondary School certificate (translated into Ukrainian language)
Birth Certificate (translated into Ukrainian language)
Medical Certificate showing absence of Aids/HIV (translated into Ukrainian language) • Medical Certificate showing physical and mental fitness (translated into Ukrainian language)
8 Passport size Photos.
Bank Statement
Police Certificate (Character Clearance Certificate)
Air Ticket Reservation.
Travel Insurance.

After getting visa from Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate, students should inform us about his/her flight details with date and arrival time. One of our representatives shall receive the student at the airport. In case student will not inform us about his/her arrival, he/she shall be deported back to homeland.

South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University Odessa University Accomodation & Hostel

Kyiv National Economic University provides accommodation for international students in university hostels. In total, KNEU has 5 dormitories, of which 2 are specifically for international students.

Foreign students live in hostels No 2 and 6.

University provides separate hostels for female students, which distinguishes these hostels best among other European universities.

Rooms are centrally heated.

These hostels offer all students everything they need for good living: a peaceful, healthy, and quiet environment for studying.

Canteens that offers cooked dishes according to the food preferences of foreign students. Moreover, the canteen is used for celebrating different religious and national holidays in the countries which the students come from.

There are isolation wards in the hostels that are used to provide rooms for sick students to prevent the spreading of infectious diseases.
