1.Medical University of Sofia

It would be best to be at least 17 years old on or before 31st December of the admission year.
Candidates must have cleared 10+2 with 50% marks from the Science stream (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in BISE/Federal or any other Equivalent Board of Examination.

2.Sofia University

Sofia University is the oldest institute in Bulgaria and was founded in 1888. It is a public university with more than 18000 students enrolled in it. It has made its place among top universities of Bulgaria and among top 4% of universities in the world. More than a century since its foundation, it has provided a wide range of degrees in about 16 faculties and given out a large number of influential personalities to the world.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

All applicants must submit the scores of either SAT or ACT unless they have (or are expected to obtain) IB Diploma or GCE A levels (three subjects), or have not been enrolled in a degree program more than two years. There is no required minimum score or GPA to apply.

3.Medical University – Plovdiv

Medical University – Plovdiv was founded in 1945. It has faculties of Medical and Dentistry with affiliated hospitals. It has provided students with clinical education, practice and laboratories for research purposes.

The duration of MBBS is 6 years and tuition fee is 8000EUR/year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

You must have completed your secondary education;
Should have obtained a Diploma/School Leaving Certificate/GCE A-2,
Must have sat for an admission test in Biology and Chemistry.

4.Medical University – varna

Medical University – varna was founded in 1960. More than half a century old institute has made remarkable progress in making itself a high- tech medical college of Bulgaria. The 3D anatomy classes whereas manual teaching sessions have gained massive popularity among students from across 44 countries.

The duration of MBBS is 6 years while the tuition fee is same as other universities which is 8000EUR/year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

You should be at least 17 years old on or before 31st December of the admission year. No Upper Age Limit.,
Qualification, Class 12th in Science, with PCB and English subjects from a board recognized by the authorities in Pakistan.
Minimum Qualifying (%), 50% in 10+2 (UR) 45% (SC/OBC/ST)

5.Trakia University

Trakia University is located in the city of Stara Zagora and is a public university. It was founded in 1995.it provides education in local language but recently has started giving medical and veterinary courses in English language as well. It has affiliated hospitals where students can interact with patients to broaden their educational area.

TUITION FEE AND DURATION OF MBBS

The 6-year medical program costs around 5100EUR/academic year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

It is obligatory for the average marks from the Diploma of secondary education in subjects that are included in the final scoring to be no less than 62% of the possible maximum of the grading system in the respective country.

6.Medical university- Pleven

Medical university- Pleven is a 45+ year-old institute founded in 1974 and it is one of the best independent/private medical institutes for local as well as international students. It was the first institute in Bulgaria to provide international students with medical education in English language in 1990s.

TUITION FEE AND DURATION OF MBBS

The duration of MBBS is 6 years with the tuition fee of 7500EUR/year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Admission in specialty Medicine is based on the secondary school leaving certificate achievements in Biology and Chemistry (min requirement is 62% as average result in both subjects) and results of entry exams in Biology and Chemistry, held by MU-Pleven.

7.New Bulgarian university

New Bulgarian university was founded in 1991 and is located in western district of Sofia. It is a private institute providing students with medical as well as other bachelor’s and master’s degrees. It gives the students with an exceptional campus life which attracts many universities from all over the world.

TUITION FEE AND DURATION OF COURSE

The average tuition fee for all the faculties mainly MBBS is 7500EUR-8000EUR/year. The duration of course is 6 years.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Original or notarized copy of completed secondary education diploma and diploma supplement specifying the period of attendance and the grades;
A document issued by a competent body certifying the applicant’s eligibility to continue his/her studies in higher educational institutions in the country in which he/she has completed his/her secondary education;
Medical certificate, issued not earlier than 1 month prior to application;
A copy of the first page of your passport or other identification documents with your names in Latin letters;
Two recent passport-size photos;
Copies of all your language certificates. Applicants to programs taught in English whose native language is not English must present proof of English language proficiency.

8.University of Plovdiv Paisii Hilendarski

The University of Plovdiv Paisii Hilendarski was founded in 1962. It has students over 18000 and is one of the top universities in Bulgaria. It has 9 Faculties. It provides degrees of bachelor’s and master’s, but the MBBS program and BDS program are most popular, and the degree is accepted all over Europe.

The duration of MBBS and BDS is 6 years which costs 8000EUR/year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The students must have language proficiency for dealing with local patients so there is a one-year preparatory course for students with the tuition fee of 3000EUR/year.
